Description

TheAMD Ryzen 7 5800X is an 8-core processor based on the 7-nanometer "Zen 3" architecture, which goes on sale at the end of 2020. It runs at 3.80 GHz High Base and 4.70 GHz Boost. The new "Zen 3" microarchitecture Ryzen 5000 series processors have a significant 19% increase in IPC (instructions per cycle) compared to the Ryzen 3000 series "Zen 2" processors.

Zen 3 19% IPC uzlabojums

The impressive 19% increase has enabled the Zen 3 core to not only become AMD's fastest CPU core to date, but also to overtake Intel for the first time in more than 10 years. In the acclaimed CineBench R20 Single Core test, the Ryzen 7 5800X outperforms Intel's currently fastest Core i9-10900K processor by almost 13%! This is a testament to the power of this processor and AMD's entire Zen 3 product line.

Ryzen 7 5800X CineBench R20 vienkodola rezultāts

Thanks to its faster core, Ryzen 7 5800X convincingly defeats its direct competitor, the 8-core Core i7-10700K, in theMulti Core version of the CineBench R20 test, with a 20 percent advantage!

Ryzen 7 5800X CineBench R20 daudzkodolu rezultāts

A similar performance handicap can be seen in almost any photo, video and 3D processing application - the excellent price/performance ratio of AMD Ryzen 7 5800X is strongly confirmed by PugetSystems ' tests.

Ryzen 7 5800X pret Core i9-10900K programmā Photoshop

As you can see, the new 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X performs 10% better than the dual-core Core i9-10900K in the popular Adobe Photoshop photo processing application. In Adobe After Effects video post-processing, the Ryzen 7 processor also outperforms the Core i9 by 9%!

Ryzen 7 5800X pret Core i9-10900K programmā After Effects

With the release of Zen 3, AMD has caught up with and even surpassed Intel on absolutely all fronts, including the latest PC games, which were Intel's last "horsepower". Almost unbelievably, the new AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, combined with the currently most powerful GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, beats the Core i7-10700K in Shadow of the Tomb Raider by both Average and1% Low FPS scores. In a duel with the Core i9-10900K, there is a tie, but PCIe 4.0 support, lower power consumption (105W vs. 125W) and the amount of heat generated speak in favour of choosing the Ryzen 7 5800X.

We recommend watching this video which compares the Ryzen 7 5800X with a couple of other 8-core processors - the previous generation Ryzen 7 3700X and Intel's current Core i7-10700K.

The processor is supplied in Tray version. This means that it will not be packed in a cardboard box and will not come with a cooler. In terms of performance, it is no different from the Box version.

The processor scores well inthe CPU Passmark performance tests.

All parameters
Threads : 16
Processor type Ryzen 7
The CPU type indicates the CPU models set by the manufacturer based upon their capacity and the application features. For Intel CPUs these are starting from most powerful - Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual Core and Celeron models.
Processor number Ryzen 7 5800X
The manufacturer of processors AMD has introduced the numbering system which permits to accurately identify each processor manufactured by AMD and its compatibility with the motherboards. Prior to buying the processor you should verify the support provided by the processor with the relevant number at the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard.
Socket Socket AM4
This parameter determines the CPU socket on the mother board for which the particular CPU is intended. Physically the CPU can be placed in the compliant socket only. Prior to buying the CPU you should verify that your motherboard has the corresponding CPU socket.
CPU Architecture : Vermeer
Cores Eight Core
The number of the CPU cores is the parameter of the operation speed and stability. CPU with two or more cores can handle tasks in parallel, thus achieving extra high-speed and the system stability. Prior to buying a multi-core CPU you should verify if the motherboard supports this type of CPU.
Clock rate 3.80 GHz
The CPU clock frequency is the index of operation speed that determines the number of calculation cycles that the CPU can perform per second. Higher clock frequency means higher operation speed.
Turbo frequency : 4.70 GHz
Cache 32 MB

L2 cache or the second level memory is second as to high-speed operation.

L2 memory capacity starts from 128 Kb up to 1-2 Mb.

Semiconductor Fabrication Process : 7nm
Performance (PassMark) : 28000+
Thermal Design Power : 105W
Cooler included Nav
A cooler is an important component and without it the computer CPU will overheat within a couple of minutes after switching on. A high quality cooler provides a silent and stable operation of the computer as well as a long CPU lifetime.
Integrated graphics : No
Packaging TRAY
BOX processors come in eye-catching retail packaging while Tray version CPUs are put inside small transparent plastic case.
