Technical_details - EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate - Acetal The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate - Acetal is a state-of-the-art addition to the EK Quantum Line. It is intended as a complement to the existing EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 water blocks and actively cools the back of all EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 FTW3 GPUs. The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate comes with a new connector that replaces the standard connector that comes with the Vector water block, connecting the water block and the Vector Active Backplate into one unit. This way the entire housing only needs one inflow and one outflow, eliminating unnecessary extra hoses and reducing clutter. It's the ultimate aesthetic and performance solution, with the GPU sandwiched between two blocks of water for maximum cooling. The Vector Active Backplate directly cools the PCB hotspots located on the back of the GPU core and the VRM (Voltage Regulation Module). The RX 3090 gets cooling for the VRAM on the back, while the RTX 3080 gets cooling for the PCB that sits around the front-mounted VRAM. The coolant is directed over all of these critical areas. These active backplates feature a fin array with 8 wide channels that allows for very little flow restriction. This in turn allows for lower overall temperatures while giving the active backplate more than enough surface area for heat transfer.
